Chiltern Construction
Chiltern Construction was formed in 1987 to provide estimates, management and surveying services to small contractors and specialist sub-contractors with their own in-house facilities.
Increasingly the company found itself being asked by clients to provide services directly, and in the early 90's moved into the contracting and labour supply markets.
By 1993 the company evolved into two specific divisionsone solely supplying all grades of construction labour, and the other providing contracting and sub-contracting in groundworks and external work, demolition, structural alterations and underpinning.
The company prides itself on working "with" rather than "for" clients. and as a result has gained key/preferred status with companies such as AMEC, Morgan EST Rail, Gee Construction and Blakedown.
With our strength of management and control of our operation "in-house" we are able to meet the most demanding of standards, delivering a quality project within budget and on time.
Through its involvement with a variety of industry and private commercial clients on the contacting side, and having gained a reputation for performance, quality, and pro-active management, the company again evolved into new areas.
Although still maintaining an emphasis on "heavyside" works, by 1995 the the company was involved in both general building and refurbishment works.
Chiltern operates its own plant fleet and excavators for all applications ranging from 1/2 to 13 tonnes was well as ancillary groundworks plant. The group is based just 5 minutes from junction 18 of the M25 on the northwest side of London and covers London and the home counties.
